Below are some of our most asked questions about facials at FloraLuna Beauty Bar. If there are any questions you have that are not answered here, please don't hesitate to call or text us at 971-425-6108.
Can I get a facial if I have sensitive skin?
Most definitely! Facials can help to reduce inflammation and enhance your complexion. Be sure to inform you esthetician of any sensitivities or concerns in order to make your experience the best possible.
Can I wear makeup to a facial?
It is best that you come to a facial without makeup, however, if that is not an option that is ok. A deep cleanse is provided for every facial, and any dirt, oil and face products will be removed during the cleanse.
What should I expect during a facial?
A relaxing and rejuvenating experience! During the facial you will experience the following steps: a hot towel steam, skin is cleansed, some form of exfoliating mask or enzyme will be used to break down dead skin, a nourishing and hydrating mask massaged in, finishing products (serum, eye cream, moisturizer, SPF) and finished off with a relaxing scalp massage.
How often should I get a facial?
This is up to you! The general recommendation is every 4-6 weeks, or once a month, as this is the average life cycle for skin.
What products and brands do you use during facials?
We use a variety of combinations of products depending on the facial package selected as well as your skin type. Typically, ever facial has a cleanser, exfoliant, moisturizer, SPF and serums.

We use Glymed+, Face Reality, AnteAge, skin script, Korean lines KRX, Corthe, Dermethod and Esthemax.
What should I expect from dermaplane?
Dermaplaining is a painless, gentle and effective exfoliation method, removing the outermost layer of dead skin and peach fuzz with a scalpel. Dermaplaning helps products better penetrate the skin as well as brighten the complexion, leaving you glowing. After your dermaplane you may experience temporary redness.

Dermaplane is not suitable for anyone with active acne breakouts, or extreme texture issues. Although uncommon sometimes there are people who's skin doesn't agree well with service.
What should I expect from microneedling?
Microneedling uses a handheld electrical device with a single use multi-needle cartridge. The tiny needles puncture the sin at a shallow depth to encourage your body's natural healing process to produce collagen, treating scaring, non-inflamed acne, fine lines, large pores and dark spots.

After receiving microneedling service, your skin may be red, feel hot and tight, and can have flaking or peeling, which can be resolved with moisturizers. You must stay out of sunlight and not apply any products other than what is advised by your Esthetician for the first week after treatment. After one week you can resume your normal skin routine while still avoiding sun for at least two weeks.
